Hi Parents, I hope you all are having a great school year. It really helps your child's education, the more you get involved. The PTA is providing lots of opportunities for parents to help with their children's education. Please help in the PTA's latest fundraising efforts of getting some much needed technology in the classroom.
I know some of you parents might be concerned that students will use the computer to play games. We will not be playing any games, but using the technology to enhance learning and preparing students for future careers. Technology used right is a great tool to help students reach their full potential.

One of the two type of technology I would like to get for our classroom is the white board. The other is educational computer software. With the white board I can teach a lesson on adding double numbers. The students will be able to follow along because they can see my work overhead and can see when to carry numbers and just solve the problems correctly. With the educational software, I can get the software for our students so they can improve at math. Once they mastered one level, they can move on to the next level. This is a fun way to encourage your children to get better at math.

Both of these technologies enhances student learning by making it fun to improve and easy to see what the teacher is doing on each step.
In conclusion, it is very important to get involved in your child's education. This PTA fundraiser is a way to do that and help get the technology in your child's classroom. Please post any comments or questions on the blog to encourage a discussion.
